Was among the first runners in the beginning. Lost 15 - 25 sec to both the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th and 11th control. Good second half of the race, and managed to keep the distance to the lead and finish first in my group. Fun to run night orienteering with mass start.

Most of the course went well, except that I after looking at the GPS realized that I was in the wrong depression on the 5th control. But at the last half of the corridor I got problems several times. I'm not running corridor too foten, and find i difficult when I can't orienteer on things I see outside the narrow corridor.

Started last in the mass start, and never got contact with Gustav Bergman. Lost some time in the forking, especially the longest loop. Had a good finish, with the fastest time in the last unforked part on the race.

Anders Carlsson and Filip Dahlgren gave us an excellent start of the relay, being 4th and 1st on the two individual night legs, and Niklas Serrander could start the first day leg in the lead. Niklas has been sick this autumn and is not in his best shape, but did an impressive performance doing almost none mistakes.

I started out on the 4th leg as 3rd runner, 3 min behind Scott Fraser (SNO) and 11 sec behind Jacob Lööf (Malungs). I lost 10 - 30 sec to both the 2nd, 3rd and 4th control, and got caught by Jere Pajunen (Kalevan Rasti) that started 50 sec after me. He held a good speed, but to the 7th control I passed him, and after that I was mostly first of us. I was accurate in my orienteering, and felt I ran pretty well.

The 14th and 15th control was forked, and I took over the lead, passing SNO and Malungs without knowing it. To the 17th I was running to the left of the march, and just before the control I met both KR, SNO and Malaungs who had been running to the right. To the 18th I ran too much to the right, and needed to use the last longer leg to catch up a 15 sec gap to the others. I managed to pass Malungs and KR in the run in, and could change over as 2nd team, 3 sec behind SNO.

Fredrik Johansson did an excellent last leg. Together with Malungs and SNO he managed to run away from Thierry Gueorgiou (KR), who was tired, and in the same forking where I took over the lead he took an other route then the others, increased his speed, and managed to come alone to the finish. It was a great feeling to end the season winning one of the big relays together with my mates in IFK Lidingö:-)

After being too slow in the first sprint race I tried to open more offensive today, and succeed quite well. Unfortunately I lost a few seconds on some of the route choices in the first part of the race, but I did well in the control picking part and managed also too keep up the speed in the easier last part. My result was a 2nd place, 6 seconds behind Yannick Michiels, and it was great to end the tour with a good result.

Really nice forest with mainly great runnability and several counter details. My speed was good enough to fight for a top position, and I did also a good technical performance, but a huge parallel mistake to the 18th control destroyed a good result. I left the valley one spur earlier then I had planned, and was quite confused when I came to a control with code 48 in stead of 47. The control I came to was the 20th control, that I should have on the second loop, and in total I lost 1 minute on the mistake and a possible to 3 position.

Did an OK performance, but I lost some time to the winner Mårten Boström the last half of the course because of the route choice to the 8th control, a small mistake to the 9th control and generally to slow running speed.

Cool to run 1st leg in a big start field. Did really well most of the leg, but destroyed it with a big mistake in the end.

Punched both the 2nd and 3rd control first. Had a bad direction the the 4th control, but stayed among the first teams, and when we came to control 55 the first time I was 2nd, some seconds behind Leonid Novikov. He managed to get a gap through the green, but I stayed in the following group until we came to control 55 the second time.

After running half the leg to 61 I realized I was running too much to the right, and I recognized the small knoll with a stone. Changed my direction, but did not understand the map, and followed the others to control 52 (that no one in my group should have). Had to run back, to the left, still finding the map strange in that area, and lost in total more then 2 min.

Lidingö did in overall a good relay, and we finished 6th for the third year in row.

Satisfied with all my route choices. Stayed in a bigger group until the last butterfly. Had the same order as Klaus Schgaguler, and we changes of having the lead the last half of the course, but he was too strong in the end. Flew to Italy the same morning, and could feel the altitude.

Did pretty well, and was 4th best on the last leg, 1 min behind Bjørn Ekeberg and Magne Dæhli who where running together in the lead. I was running together with Håkon Jarvis Westergård most of the leg, and he managed to beat me with 1 sec:-(

Avoided any big mistakes, but did not have any good flow in my orienteering, and hesitated several places even if my route looks good.

OK qualification race, and I tried to not push to hard in the uphills. No real mistakes, but lost a few seconds some places on not running an optimal line, especially on the middle part of the long leg to the 7th control.

In overall a pretty good performance, without any bigger mistakes, but lost too much time on some of the longer legs. My running speed was not the best.

Felt I did OK in the beginning, but more straight was faster to the 2nd control. I did also a 20 sec mistake attacking the control with a bad dirrection, and was caught by Thomas Natvig Årstad by 2 min. (Thomas did a very good performance. He was was fastest with 45 sec margin to the 2nd control, was leading the first hour of the race, and finished 3rd.)

In the following part I did well, and had mainly contact with Thomas. I lost contact with him when he was running more straight to the 10th control. To both the 11th and 12th control I loose more than one minute, and I should have been running more straight, especially to the 12th control. The end of the race is OK technical, but I was really tired.

Interesting area with several different types of terrain, but tougher physical than it looks like bacause of undervegetation und rough ground. I did OK in the beginning, except a huge (2.30 min) mistake to the 7th control, because I didn't trust my orienteering and stopped 30 m before the control. The last half of the course I was very tired, and did also several mistakes in the area from the 24th to the 28th control.

Not that type of terrain I prefer for a sprint race, and also too long course, but still a nice race. (Would have been much more interesting to use the historical city centre of Røros, 1 km soute east of this area.) Mainly a good perforformance, but lost the lead to the last control.

Was running pretty well the first half of the race, and was leading on the 10th control. But than I started to be really tired and did several mistakes. First run in real forest since the WOC realy more than one month ago, so a though and good start of the training for the autumn season.

The Mixed Sprint Relay was held in partly the same area as the Middle, but had also a part with more parkland. Norway had a strong team, and was in my opinion among five teams who had a good chance to win a medal.

Carl Kaas and Mari Fasting sent me out on the 3rd leg in 5th position, 1 min behind the leading group. I did an OK performance, except to the 6th control, where I according to the GPS tracking lost 40 seconds since I passed my control with a few meters and visited an other forking before I went back to my control. I don't like to complain about forkings, but as you can see in the GPS tracking it's quite big differences in length, and unfortunately I had the longest most places. M. Kyburz was able to give Switzerland a huge lead, but we were still in 5th position, and the other team was within one minute in front of us.

Anne M. Hausken Nordberg did a good last leg, and finished as 2nd runner, but unfortunately we were disqualified since Mari had visited a wrong control. It was the 6th control, the same as I missed, and also Sweden, Great Britan and Czech Republic was disqualified for exactly the same! So it went out to be easier then expected to win a medal, and Austria was definitively the most happy team, winning the bronze, their first ever relay medal in an international championship.

I was running pretty well the first half of the race, and at the map exchange I held the 7th position, 45 sec behind Matthias Kyburz. But in the end I did five 10 - 30 seconds mistakes, and ended up in 13th position. Kyburz won clearly, but it was positive to see that I was not more than one minute from the silver medal.

The Middle distance was held in a forest area along a river, and nobody knew exactly what we could expect before the race. The forest was mainly quite dense, and it was smart to use the paths as much as possible, even if it was OK to run through the forest some places.

I was running pretty well the first half of the race, and at the map exchange I held the 7th position, 45 sec behind Matthias Kyburz. But in the end I did five 10 - 30 seconds mistakes, and ended up in 13th position. Kyburz won clearly, but it was positive to see that I was not more than one minute from the silver medal.

The Sprint was held in a mix of park and street area. It was not any big challenges, and mainly to choose right or left, and run as fast as possible. I was not feeling so fresh as I had hoped, and lost some time because of my running speed the whole course.

At the 18th control I held the 11th position. But to the 19th control I had a bad direction, came too much to the right and lost 20 seconds. On the last control I did not get any electronically punching, even if the spectators could see that I punched normally with my SI card, and I was disqualified from a possible 18th position. This is the first time I have been disqualified for a missing punch, even if it has been a problem with Sport Ident for many years, and I' can just be glad it has not happed to me before and that it was not a top performance I was disqualified from this time.

The Model Event was close to the area for tomorrows sprint race, but no very interesting, as you can see on the map. Model Events is often quite boring, since they save the best areas for the races, but shows how the map is drawn.

I was quite excited before the start, and felt it was an honor to be chosen running the 1st leg for the Norwegian team. But I was also a big pressure, since we had finished 2nd in the WOC relay the 3 last years, and had ambitions to fight for the victory.

To both the 1st and 3rd controls I lost a few seconds since I was not running optimal routes. I had the longest forking in the beginning, and at the 3rd control I was nr 16, 33 sec behind Switzerland. But I could see a lot of good runners in front of me, and was not stressed.

On the long leg I thought running to the right could be a good option, using the paths to avoid the green. But I didn't want to run alone, and followed all the others who went straight. On the end of the leg the runners I could see in front of me went too much to the left (to go to the other forkings), and Ukraine and I was the only runners who continued straight to my forking. At the 5th control I was nr 13, 48 sec behind Switzerland.

The rest of the course went really well, and I managed to pass a lot of teams (which had other forkings or did mistakes). At the next radio (7/8 on the map) I was 5th, and when I finished I was 2nd, 3 sec behind Switzerland.

Ran the course as training after the WOC qual race. It went pretty well, and my time was 30 min without pushing too hard. Nice terrain and a good map, even if it was very challenging in the beginning, and many runners did big mistakes.

Had not the best flow in the first part of the course, and had problems picking the best route choices. The last part of the course went better. Lost aprox. 5 seconds 5 places because of hesitation or not taking the best route, but still quite satisfied since I found the course very challenging.

A really solid qualification race, where I had a good plan for all legs and was running in a stable pace with good flow and no hesitation. Was surprised I was able to win the heat with as much as 25 seconds, but that gave me a good feedback before the afternoons final!

A good performance, except a one minute mistake to the 6th control. Took it a bit careful in the area from the 11th to 16th control. Had contact with Matthias Kyburz most of the leg. On Jukola you not always runs where it look best on the map, because you can use the new tracks made by the thousands of previous starting runners.

The Nordic Tour Final was a Long distance with chasing start, and I started as 15th runner, 7 min behind Matthias Kyburz. I had a gap in front of me, but as many as 10 runners within a minute behind me. I opened well, but did not find the best lines in the rough terrain between the 6th and 12th control, and when I had finished the forking I was caught up by many of the runners starting behind me.

The group kept a high speed, but I had a good flow in my orienteering and no problems taking the right control the few times it was forking. When we passed the arena the last time I was in the front of the group. To the 33rd control I and my club mate Filip Dahlgren came to much to the right (after bad compass work), and we were passed by several runners taking a left route choice. The rest of the course I tried to advance in the field, but it was strong runners in front of me, and I ended up finishing 3rd in the group. My total position was 8th, 4 min behind Daniel Hubmann (who passed Kyburz in the end).

The Final was more challenging, and I had problems getting a good flow in my orienteering. Physically I did not have my best day either, but the orienteering went OK at the beginning. To the 8th control I had not been reading the control description before I planed my route, and I started running to the right. When I realized the control was on the other side of the wall I turned and changed to the left route choice, loosing more then 20 seconds. (If i had continued on the right route choice it was actually some stairs in the wall, that was very difficult to see on the map in running speed.) The rest of the race was OK, but I continued loosing some time in running speed.

The Qual in the morning went OK, but I lost a about 10 seconds to both the 8th and 13th control because I had not been reading the map well enough before I left the control.

I ran well during the forked part, and was still in the lead when I left the 11th control. To the 12th control two other runners took the left route choice, and managed to catch 2 second to me, but I kept my lead. In the end of the races I just tried to keep a stable high speed, and run perfect technically so I could continue to stay in the front. It went well, but in the run in Fabian Hertner managed to pass with a few meters. It's a bit annoying to be so close to a World Cup victory, but I was really satisfied with my performance, and this was the first time I was top 3 in a WC race sine 2007.

In the Final I wanted to use the same tactic (as in the semifinal). Vojtech Kral took the command to the 2nd control, and I stayed behind him in 2nd position. Surprisingly the strong Swiss runners was again behind. To the 6th control I took over the lead, and found it was a good position to have during the forked part (with map exchange), since I then would not be distracted about where the others was running.

My heat in the Semifinal was really strong, and knew I needed to to a strong performance to be one of the two runners who was automatically qualified for the final, but that it was also was a good chance that the 3rd and 4th runner would qualify as "lucky looser". In the forked butterfly in the beginning I took the lead in my group. IN the end of the butterfly Gustav Bergman passed me, and I decided to stay behind him since he was running well. Me and Jerker Lysell changes about having the 2nd and 3rd position, while the Swiss runners Fabian Hertner and Matthias Kyburz was behind. To the 2nd last control I was the only one taking the right route choice, and I was speeding up and managed to take over the lead just in front of the other runners (as you can see on the picture above). On the run in I let Gustav Bergman pass me, since I anyway would qualify for the final.

The individual qualification in the morning went well. At the 20th control I was 6th, but after loosing some seconds in the end I finished in a 13th position.

Lost 30 sec to the 2nd control and 15 sec several other places. I am not good enough in this type of terrain, but had hoped to run 1 - 2 min faster.

Destroyed the race loosing 25 sec on my rote choice to the 3rd control. (Right over the bridge was best.) Except that an OK performance, but had hoped being in a bit better running shape.

A really good technical performance. Think I took the best route choice on all legs. Lost some seconds (in running speed ?) on the longer legs in the first half of the course, and thats why Emil Wingstedt was beating me with 10 sec. To the 11th control I could have saved a few sec taking the short cut down the path on my left route choice.

A good and secure qualification race. Lost 5 sec to the 2nd and 3rd control not taking the right route choice. To the 13th right in the beginning of the leg, and then left (same as me) in the end was maybe a few sec faster.

OK in the beginning, but lost some seconds too much to the 3rd, 8th, 9th, 11th and 14th because of hesitating and not running straight enough.

Was running well big parts of the race, but lost 30 - 45 sec to the 3rd, 9th, 20th, 23rd and 25th control because of mistakes, not optimal routes or hesitation.

Really cool to run on Skansen, with a very detailed map. A lot of controls, and both longer route choice legs and many micro route choices.

No big mistakes, but lost 15 - 30 sec to several controls. Had big problems running fast in the parts of the terrain with stony ground.

Quite good performance, but lost 5 sec to the 3rd, 10th and 14th control. To the 3rd right was shorter. To the 10th I should have passed the 12th control. To the 14th I didn't see the small passage in the forbidden vegetation just after the 13th control. Physical I was a bit tired after a though training week, and was not really able to speed up on the longer legs. International start field, with 7 nationalities among the 8 best runners!

Good performance, except the route choice to the 7th control, where I lost 15 sec. Should have gone right in the beginning, south of the 5th control, or slightly to the left, like I started, but continued straight and then left in the end of the leg.

The bridges and passages under them are not according to ISSOM, but was OK to understand if you had been reading PM. The middle part of the course was very tricky, and needed good planing of the whole route before you started on a leg.

Stable performance, following my tactic that was to run close to the line, follow my compass, read on the bigger hills, and be very accurate the last part to the control points.

I did 2 smaller mistakes, of about 15 sec each. To the 6th control I came a bit too much to the left, and hesitated a bit since I had to follow the edge longer then expected. Out of the 12th control I had a bad direction, and followed what I thought was a path (but was not marked on the map) to the right for some meters before I checked my compass.

Chasing start, based on the results from yesterdays Middle distance. I got a good start, but out of the 4th control some runners starting within a minute behind me got contact. The knee I injured yesterday hurt more today, and I got stiff in both my right leg, thigh and hip, and had problems to keep the same speed as the other runners. But they did some mistakes, and several time I managed to get up in the front of the group again.

When we passed the arena I was last, and decided I had to do something, because it was not any point keeping that position. My knee also felt better, and when the other runners started looking tired or doing smaller mistakes I took the command, and was able to stay in front of the group the last part of the course. I finished in 5th position, 4 min behind the first group won by Emil Wingstedt.

Quite stable race, but not as good as I wanted. Lost 10 sec to the 4th control because of not optimal route up the last hill. Right was maybe even faster. Lost 5 sec down the steep hill to the 8th control. Lost 10 sec on my right route to the 10th, compared to the left. Had a strong finish with several top 3 splits on the last loop.

Stable performance, but lost 10 sec not running right to the 14th control. Qualified easily for tomorrows final, but have to perform better then.

Quite stable race in a very challenging sprint area. Avoided big mistakes, but lost time on some route choices and hesitation. Lost 10 sec not taking right route choice to the 3rd control. Out of the 6th control I could have saved 10 sec taking the stairs to the left. Hesitated out of the 11th control, and changed my route. Tired physical after the training camp and other MOC races, with high intensity trainings 7 days in row.

Mass start with a lot of strong runners. Was tired in the beginning, and lost contact with the leading runners already on the long leg to the 1st control. Lost also some time in the green during the first butterfly. Ran much alone during the second butterfly. Felt stronger the last part of the course, and was able to finish first in the second group.

Was not pushing 100 % since it has been a though sprint training camp with intensive sessions each of the 4 previous days. Did some stupid mistakes. To the 12th I followed a path not om the map and did a parallel mistake before I came to the right path and relocated.

Relay training with IFK Lidingö. Good technical performance, except I should have been running even closer to the line to the 15th control. Though because of some old snow. Still fun, since the boys in the club are running well:-)

The map was not so accurate, so difficult to avoid smaller mistakes in the control circle. The vegetation had also changed some places.

Good performance the first part of the race, but missed the 18th control and lost 2 min to the 19th control when I get stuck in the green area (where i never should have been running).

Took not the best route choice on all legs, but had a good flow in my orienteering and almost avoided hesitation. Lost 5 sec to the 7th, 10 sec to the 8th, 5 sec to the 10th and 10 sec to the 12 th control on wrong route choice.

Lost 45 sec to the 3rd and 15 sec to the 11th control because I was not reading the control description before I planed my route choices. The rest was OK, but was feeling tired.

Another crazy race, in similar terrain to yesterday. Missed about 1 minute several places, but avoided any huge mistakes like most other did. Kept the same speed as the local winner, and my former club mate form Wing OK, Chris Forne from the 8th control.

Really challenging terrain. Have not explored anything like tis before. Except a 5 min mistake to the 4th control, I am quite satisfied with my performance considering the challenging area. The map was quite accurate, but it was difficult to see the control flags, even if you was just a few meter from them.

Good race without any mistakes. Quite easy course. I would have had a map change and two loops in the most detailed area close to the arena.

Amazing terrain with a lot of stone details on a hill with open grass areas. The stone details was very accurate mapped, even if it was difficult to know where you could pass the cliffs, and made it a great training.

The first race I was pushing almost maximum, after having a sore throat in the beginning of the week. Went OK, but did some smaller mistakes and was very tired in the end of the course.

Was pushing quite hard in the beginning, but when the steep climb started I felt I had not recovered totally after my cold, and I slowed down a bit. Did some mistakes in the first butterfly.

After the map change I started to be really tired, and when I passes the 26th control, on my way to the 21st control, I started to orienteer to the 25th control, and stopped up for a while before I understood why all the others where running in an other direction compared to where I wanted to go. When I finished the race I collapsed, and was laying on the ground for a long time. I could not remember much from the last loop, but the spectators said I was falling several times when I passed close to the arena on the way to the 21st control. I had surprisingly managed to punch all controls correct, but lost some minutes on the last loop and ended as 24th runner. It was not before I looked at map and talked to some of the other runners I started to remember parts of the last loop.

In the beginning of the race I was able to catch up some of the runners starting in front of me, but the runners starting close after me also got contact, and we became a bigger group. At the 8th control I punched first in the group, but started running directly to the 10 control, loosing 45 sec and ended up being last in the group. At the map change I had managed to again be among the first runners in the group.

Very challenging course. Was not in advance with the route choice planning, and lost 30 seconds both to the 3rd and 7th control. Lost also 5 - 10 seconds several places on smaller (route choice) mistakes in the middle part of the course. Physical very tired in the last half of the race. My thigh, that I had an infection in the previous week, was working OK.

First time running since I got an infection in my thigh 6 days ago. The thigh was still stiff, but it went OK, even if it was though to push the body again. Lost 5 - 10 seconds several places because of bad route choices, but no big mistakes and qualified for tomorrows final.
